Sheriff’s office looking for runaway Fort Mill teens

— The York County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating two local teenage girls recently reported as runaways.

Laura Elizabeth “Piper” Newton, 16, and Katherine Amanda Obert, 15, were reported missing on March 21 and March 26, respectively. The sheriff’s office believes the two teens are together and staying somewhere in Charlotte.

Anyone with information is urged to call Detective Mark Motz at 803-628-3059 or Crime Stoppers of York County at 1-877-409-4321, or to go to yorkcrimestoppers.com.

A reward of up to $1,000 is offered for information that leads to the missing girls.
