Letter ot the editor: Unemployment numbers deceptive

Unemployment numbers deceptive

South Carolina and some of its counties recently released numbers showing that there was decrease in the unemployment rates. What one must keep in mind is that without a federal extension of unemployment benefits in place, people that were collecting are no longer able to.

When one stops collecting unemployment benefits, it is assumed that they found work. However, that is not necessarily the case presently.
