Lady Mustangs win track championship

— The Springfield Middle School Lady Mustangs track team traveled to won the York County Middle School Championship at York High School last week.

The team scored a combined 110 points and where led by several first place finishes.

Addy Rogers won the 800 meters in a time of 2.52.07 while Elaine Griffith Won both the 400 meter (1.03.67) and the long jump with a jump of 15 feet. Both athletes teamed with Cameron McDonagh and Carly Berkeland to win the 4x400 meter relay in a time of 4.43.17.

Other points scored by: Jada Harris, Barbara Barnes, Paityn Tanda, Ava Philbeck (seventh, 4x100 relay), Abby Rogers (second 1,600), Camryn McDonagh (fourth 1,600 third, 800), Ellona Moulds (seventh 1,600), Makayla Blackwell (second, 1,600 fourth, 200), Jada Harris, Paityn Tanda, Ava Philbeck, and Elle Ford (fourth sprint medley relay), Carly Berkeland (third 800 third shot put), Abby Walker (third, discus) Aiden Cummings (fourth, discus fifth shot put), Sydney McDonagh (sixth high jump).
