Williams Road in Fort Mill closed for bypass work

— Williams Road in Fort Mill will be closed to through traffic until June 7 as part of the Fort Mill Southern Bypass construction project.

The road will be closed 0.19 miles east of Doby’s Bridge Road to 0.14 miles west of Legion Road. The South Carolina Department of Transportation have planned a detour, Doby’s Bridge Road to the intersection of Hensley Road, then right onto Hensley Road to the intersection at Legion Road. Then drivers can make a right turn onto Legion Road and travel to the intersection of Williams Road.

Triangle Grading and Paving Inc. is performing the construction work under a contract with the York County Pennies for Progress program.
