— The Jack Nicklaus-designed Palisades Country Club will host its first charity golf tournament of the year Monday, May 12, to support Carolina Crown, a non-profit performing arts organization serving youth of Fort Mill.

While golf will headline the event, food will be the featured attraction, as golfers will sample dishes from some of Charlotte’s finest restaurants along the course. Featured eateries will include The Capital Grille, Dressler’s Restaurant, Vida Mexican Cantina, Blackfinn, and Village Pizza.

Registration is 8 a.m. with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Following the tournament, Texas Roadhouse of Matthews, N.C., will provide lunch for players. There will be goody bags provided by event sponsors, giveaways, and cash prizes for the tournament winner and runner up.

The Palisades Country Club was built just 10 years ago and is located within the 1,600-acre master planned Palisades community just off N.C. Hwy 49 on the southwest corner of Charlotte.

There are still spots available for teams and sponsors. To register, click here or call 547-2270, ext. 200.
