— Police are searching for two suspects involved in an attempted arm robbery at a Dollar Tree in Fort Mill on Sunday night, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.

A report states that two employees were able to evade the two suspects, including one man who pointed a semi-automatic pistol at an employee’s stomach and demanded her purse.

The two employees were exiting the store after closing when they were approached by the robbers. The store’s night deposit for the bank was in the employee’s purse at the time of the incident, the report reads.

The employee threw her purse down and both victims began to run back to the store on Stockbridge Drive, eventually locking themselves into the store to protect themselves.

Police recovered a shell casing was from a shot that was fired sometime as the two employees were running back to the store. A set of tire tracks were also found at Grace Presbyterian Church nearby.
