Greenwave opens Charlotte Swim League season with win

— The Springfield Greenwave opened with a 357-197 win over Raintree to kick off the Greater Charlotte Swim League summer swim season recently.

Springfield won seven of 10 relay events in the meet. They also had seven multiple winners including Ryan Williams, who won three events. Winning for the Greenwave, by age group, were:

Ryan Williams in the boys’ 13-14 won the 50-meter freestyle, 50-meter breaststroke and 100-meter individual medley.

Riley Cota in the girls’ 9-10 won the 25-meter freestyle and 25-meter backstroke.

Evelyn Peters in the girls’ 11-12 won the 50-meter freestyle and 50-meter backstroke.

Tegan Strickland in the girls’ 15-18 won the 50-meter freestyle and 50-meter backstroke.

Samuel Fitzgerald in the boys’ 15-18 won the 50-meter freestyle and 50-meter breaststroke.

Jacob Martin in the boys’ 15-18 won the 50-meter backstroke and 100-meter individual medley.

Riley Haynie in the boys’ 10- and under won the 100-meter individual medley and 25-meter breaststroke.

Kate Bodel in the girls’ 6 and under won the 25-meter freestyle.

Andrew McDonald in the boys’ 6 and under won the 25-meter freestyle.

Emily Eaton in the girls’ 8 and under won the 25-meter freestyle.

Reed Richardson in the boy’ 9-10 won the 25-meter freestyle.

Summer Rayne Whyte in the girls’ 8 and under won the 25-meter backstroke.

James Peters in the boys’ 8 and under won the 25-meter backstroke.

Seth Richardson in the boys’ 11-12 won the 50-meter backstroke.

Isaiah Fitzgerald in the boys’ 13-14 won the 50-meter backstroke.

Victoria Morgan in the girls’ 11-12 won the 100-meter individual medley.

Sabrina Riehl in the girls’ 15-18 won the 100-meter individual medley.

Mili Shah in the girls’ 8 and under won the 25-meter breaststroke.

Gabe Schmitz in the boys’ 8 and under won the 25-meter breaststroke.

Cameron Bruce in the boys’ 11-12 won the 50-meter breaststroke.

Sutton Jones in the girls’ 13-14 won the 50-meter breaststroke.

Camille Beck in the girls’ 15-18 won the 50-meter breaststroke.
