Fort Mill farms showcased on Ag+Art tour

From staff reportsJune 23, 2014

— The annual Ag+Art tour spotlighting farms and craft artists in York, Lancaster and Chester counties, was held this past weekend and included three local stops – the Old Peach Stand, Springs Farm and Tega Hills Farm.

The Fort Mill Bee Club was on hand at the Peach Stand to explain what goes on inside a hive and how to get involved in beekeeping.

Sally Haggerty of Sally’s Handwovens demonstrated her table loom.

At Tega Hills Farm on Zoar Road, the family farm showcased its microgreens, lettuce, herbs, and other specialty produce grown using controlled environment agriculture techniques along with hydroponic systems to provide produce for customers year-round.
