The rest the Indian Land softball team received over spring break was well worth it.
The Lady Warriors have come back to win three straight to improve to 12-9 overall and 8-1 in Region III-A. That one loss in the region will now result in a one-game playoff against McBee for the region title as the two teams split their season series.
Indian Land got wins this past week over Lewisville, Great Falls and North Central. Against North Central, Indian Land came out strong and never let up in the 12-1 win.
Senior Kimber Coley got the win to improve to 6-6 on the year as the Lady Warriors scattered 12 hits. Sophomore Paige Brugh led the Lady Warriors going 4-4 with three RBIs and has went 7-7 with six RBIs in her last two games, including a three-run home run against Great Falls in a 14-0 win.
Eighth grader Katie Jowers went 3-3 with an RBI and senior Jacquelyn Delaune went 1-2 with an RBI double.
Indian Land scored six runs in the fourth for the win against North Central.
