Warriors finish Region fourth

The Indian Land Warriors finished the 2008 regular season with a fourth-place finish at the Region III-A tournament.

The tournament was held at Chesterfield's home course of Green River Country Club last week after it was rained out originally from its April 28 date.

Great Falls won the even shooting a 319 over the 18-hole tournament. Chesterfield was second, 40 strokes back with a 359, followed by McBee's 383. Indian Land shot a 397.

Great Falls Dalton Harper was low round medalist for the tournament with a 78.

Chase Hunter led Indian Land was an 84 on the par-72 course. He was followed by Brandon Thomas' 102 and Christian Messina's 105. Clay Holcomb rounded out the scoring for the Warriors with a 106.

Up next for the Warriors is the state championship tournament in Ware Shoals to play the Links at Stoney Point this week.

The course is a par 72 and plays 6,706 yards from the championship tees. It was designed by Tom Jackson and is located on Lake Greenwood.
