The Indian Land Lady Warriors spent part of last week defeating Greenville Charter High School in one of their last soccer matches of the season.
"It was a strong defensive outing from Brittani Kronquist, who recorded her sixth shutout for the season in net," said head coach Mark Bonda.
Their streak did not last long however. The Lady Warriors lost 4-0 against Christ Church in the second round of the A/AA state playoffs.
"The girls played a tough game against a great opponent," Bonda said. "Senior captains Elizabeth Rowe and Amber Smith did a great job leading the team."
Elizabeth Wheeler and Michelle Cato kept up a strong midfield for the Warriors, while Karaline Berei, Kelsey Dusenbery, Gretchen Shoemaker and Brooke Adams tried to hold down the defense.
"I was really proud of the girls this season," Bonda said. "We really have improved the level of play."
The Lady Warriors final record for the season was 12-6-0. Only four seniors will be lost this school year so "the future looks bright for Indian Land girls' soccer program," Bonda said.
