The third round for the 4A tennis playoffs was unkind to Fort Mill.

The Jackets fell 6-0 to Spartanburg in the third round last week, ending their season abruptly.

Spartanburg won almost every set, despite being pushed in a couple sets to tie breakers.

In number one singles, Alex Holland beat William Reigel 6-7, 7-5, (10-8) in a match that took over two hours to play.

In the number two singles, Robbie Davis fell to Ben Barnette 6-0, 6-2. Number three Paul Shaw fell to Forest Weir 6-1, 7-6 and number four Chase Lee fell to Ben Barnhall 6-1, 6-1 and number five Jordon Luken fell 6-1, 6-1.

In doubles play, Daniel Proctor and Kyle Orsburn fell 5-7, 7-6, (10-8) to end Fort Mill's season at 17-5.
