With two wins under their belts last week, the Nation Ford Lady Falcons are 3-0-1 for the season.
"We had two good wins," head coach Brenda Stewart said, referring to the Falcons' edging Clover 203-233 and South Pointe 206-218. Both matches were played at Springfield.
"As we're out on the course, we're not thinking about the competition - we're just having fun playing new teams and improving our game," Baron said.
"Next, we have a four-match week. The team will work hard to keep their record going."
Jackets on a roll
Fort Mill's girls defeated York and Northwestern last week.
"Sara Allen and Amanda Hall played pretty well, but it was our third and fourth score that helped us win," coach Steve Gribble said. "Olivia Attanasio and Lauren Malone both shot their scores of the year to help us win."
In the Cavalier Invitational at the Lexington Country Club, "I feel we could have played better," Gribble said, "but the course was playing very hard. It was like the U.S. Open rough." Hall finished 18th and Sara Allen finished 19th out of 64 golfers while the Fort Mill team finished in the middle of the field.
Both teams will be competing in the Region 3AAA tournament at River Hills Country Club Tuesday, Oct. 7.
