Hole-in-one for Shepard
Kyle Shepard had a hole-in-one May 17 at the Fort Mill Golf Club. Using a six-iron, he aced hole three, which is 167 yards.
Witnesses were Ray Dellinger, Preston Dabney and Riley Hilton.
Soccer club holding tryouts
The Indian Land Soccer Club is preparing for its fall and spring travel teams. Tryouts will be held 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, at the soccer fields behind the Indian Land Recreation Center on Hwy. 521.
This will be a 90-minute session to evaluate player skills. Plan to attend at least one of the sessions. Tryouts will be held for ages 8-16.

Carolina Select needs players
Fort Mill-based Carolina Select Soccer Club needs a few more players to round out its program. Though tryouts have been completed, some teams can add players.
The U15 Boys Gold Team is seeking at least two more players. The team is comprised of 13 and 14 year-olds and previous competitive experience is preferred.

Youth hoops camp begins this week
The Nation Ford High School Boys Basketball coaching staff will be holding a summer youth basketball camp 8 a.m.-noon June 9-12 for boys and girls ages 7-14 at Nation Ford High School.

Fort Mill hosts wrestling camp
Fort Mill High School is offering a combo wrestling camp for aspiring local grapplers that will be held at the school June 16-18.
The camp will be held each day from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and the cost is $60. Members of the Fort Mill Wrestling Club will be admitted for $40.

Registration is open for the second annual Charlotte Knights Golf Classic Tuesday, June 16, at Regent Park Golf Club.
