Youth choir celebrates

The Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church youth choir will celebrate its anniversary at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2. The adults will sponsor a youth banquet following the service.

Make sound financial choices

Healing evangelist Todd Bentley will be in Fort Mill at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, as MorningStar Fellowship Church hosts this event at Heritage International Ministries for a special night of -worship and healing.

Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church will have a Ministry Fair Sunday, Aug. 10, following the 11 a.m. worship service. Bring a covered dish item to share and learn about the many ministries happening at Pleasant Hill UMC.

Back-to-school event at Zoar

Want to learn or teach ESL?

Life Builders ESL Ministry offers free English classes for anyone who needs to learn or improve their English. Classes meet every week beginning in September. Get the 'glow'

Aglow, a transdenom-inational organization or Christian women, meets 7-9 p.m. the fourth tuesday of each month at a private home in Regent Park. Aglow groups are in approximately 165 nations around the world with more than 1,400 local groups in the U.S. The heart of the organization is local fellowships. Small groups studies, care (support) groups, retreats, and annual conferences make up the Aglow year. It is a network of caring women as well as a faith-building organization. Java ministry at PUMC

Philadelphia United Methodist Church in Fort Mill features a Philly Java Ministry. From 6-8 a.m. on the first Monday of every month, travelers on Hwy. 160 West can drive through the PUMC circle drive and get free coffee or soda.

They will take prayer requests and provide a "thought and prayer" for the month that is laminated and can be placed on your car's sun visor.

Sisk offers clothes, baby formula

The Sisk Memorial Clothes Closet is open from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. every second and fourth Thursday at 118 Spratt St. in Fort Mill, next to the Sisk Memorial Family Life Center. Clothes for children and adults in need - jackets, sweaters, shoes, pants, skirts, etc., are available at no charge.

Also available at this time is powdered baby formula for mothers who need it.
