Crossroads welcomes interim pastor
On Sept. 27, Crossroads Lutheran Church celebrated four years of ministry with Rev. Jason Schafer. Pastor Schafer and his wife Mitzi began this Mission Church in the Indian Land Middle School gym and then two years ago moved into the present facility, a remodeled home at 8511 Shelley Mullis Road.
He and his family were honored with a brunch and the presentation of a meaningful painting. Pastor Schafer has accepted a call from Saint Luke's Lutheran Church located in Prosperity.
On Oct. 4, Crossroads will be welcoming the Rev. John Lucien (Jan) Setzler as interim pastor. He recently retired from Immanuel Lutheran Church in Greenwood after 40 years of ministry.
