Camus knew the score

Did you hear about the cows reading the words on a passing milk truck?
"Pasteurized, Homogenized, Vitamin A added," it said.
One cow looked at the other and said, "It sure makes you feel inadequate, doesn't it?"
Is that how you feel today? Maybe there's too much to do, and not enough of you to do it. Do you recall these words: "When I was younger, so much younger than today, I never needed anybody's help in any way." Then the song changes: "Help me if you can, I'm feeling down, and I do appreciate you being 'round. Help me get my feet back on the ground...Won't you ple-ase, please help me?!"
Even in a perfect world Adam still couldn't make it by himself. So, God said, "I will make him a helper." Thus, Eve was created (Gen. 2:18).
Sometimes the answer is not more prayer, or more counseling; It's just having a real friend. Especially one who's fought the same battles you're fighting - and won.
The writer of Ecclesiastes said, "Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow."
We read in the Bible of the healing of a lame man at the Beautiful Gate (Acts 3). But there's another miracle here. Not long before, Peter had fallen flat on his face and decided to go back to his old fishing job. But John refused to let go of him.
As a result, Peter was restored, a lame man was made whole and 3,000 people were won to Christ in one day (Acts 2:41).
What a lesson!
You don't need a lot of people, you just need the right people, so ask God to send them into your life today.
Proverbs 18:24 reads, "A man that hath friends must show himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother."
That friend is Jesus. He wants to be your friend: open your life to him.
