Ladies Auxiliary collecting stuffed animals to aid troops

The VFW Post 9138 Ladies Auxiliary and Fort Mill Ford are collecting small stuffed animals to send to U.S. troops in Afghanistan so they can hand them out to children in that country. A York County soldier serving in Afghanistan has requested the stuffed animals.

Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Indian Land invited anyone interested to be a part of the prayer shawl ministry at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19. Members knit and crochet shawls to be given to those who need to feel the comfort of prayer.
