Dear Editor,
As many of you know, the recession has affected so many people in this area. We are running very low on some foods at the Fort Mill Care Center. Many of you have stepped up in the last few weeks and brought us a lot of food, but we are having trouble keeping up with the demand.
In August, we provided 959 people with over 21,900 pounds of food. Today, Sept. 23, we provided 140 people with 2472 pounds of food.
We may begin running out of some foods by the end of next week. We need pork n beans, corn, green beans, canned vegetables, and canned beans.
Any help you can give us will be greatly appreciated. Please remember we are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9 a.m. to noon.
Thank you.
Jan Arnold
