I’ve noticed that sports are a big deal in the South.

While checking Facebook a few weeks ago, I came across a link to a news story regarding the popular “Real Housewives” series on Bravo. Everyone was all a-twitter because sources were stating that the production company would be casting for a Charlotte version.

I was in Washington State the last time we had a presidential election. As you can imagine, there were not many “McCain/Palin” stickers on cars out West.

When we moved here two years ago, I had to find a preschool for my oldest son, Harrison, right away. It was mid-August, so availability was limited. I heard about the Leroy Springs Recreation Complex from a friend and decided to call and see if it had any openings.

It’s easy to get caught up in shopping the sales at the big-box stores around town. One-stop shopping is the most convenient thing invented since the cars, but what about the little guy?
