Winning lottery ticket sold in Fort Mill

FORT MILL TOWNSHIP --

Someone purchased a winning Powerball ticket worth $200,000 from a Fort Mill store, S.C. Lottery officials said today.

According to a press release sent Thursday afternoon, the ticket was purchased at Cobblestone Creek Inc. Another winning ticket also worth $200,000 was purchased at a store in Hopkins. Both tickets matched the numbers drawn Wednesday – 8, 12, 14, 22 and 29 – but neither had the “red Powerball number,” which was 22, the release said. The jacketpot with the Powerball number would elevate the prize to $96 million.

The winners were not identified.

Officials said the tickets can be claimed at South Carolina Education Lottery Claims Centers located in Columbia, Greenville and Mt. Pleasant.
