More than 1,600 pounds of meatballs and sausage are just the tip of the iceberg for the annual St. Philip Neri Italian Festival that begins May 17.
The season’s biggest event here after the S.C. Strawberry Festival is St. Philip Neri’s Catholic Church’s Italian Festival. This year’s fest is May 17-19 and as always, will be held on the church campus at 292 Munn Road.
More than 50,000 attended the S.C. Strawberry Festival this year, beating the 2011 attendance record by more than 10,000 people, official said.
