Once again Westminster “study buddies” came to Orchard Park Elementary School to meet up with Mrs. Eppes’ and Mrs. Price’s fifth-grade classes, on Dec. 16, 2011. Rather than asking personal questions this time, the students asked questions about the Roaring 1920s and the 1930s, which included the Great Depression.
A broad knowledge of geography and a winning answer of “Mexico’” helped Drew Reynolds, an eighth grader at Fort Mill Middle School, win the school’s National Geographic Bee last week.
While some kids may have been preoccupied with the coming Christmas break, students in Marcia Havner’s Family and Consumer Science Class at Banks Trail Middle School were working overtime.
